starting the engine without turning the key
i need to know how i can get the motor to turn over and start while i am under the hood. i can not buy a push button start cord or what ever they are called. i need to know soon. it is a 1967 ford f100 with a 352 v8

old trick i learned from my dad put the key on the on position and get a piece of wire touch the starter solenoid from the battery connection to the first little post thats on the solenoid it should start or turn over

arc the first large stud and first small stud together with a screwdriver. on the starter relay on the fender.

It is as easy as wiring a button in across the two small terminals on the solenoid with key on.

Unless you want the engine to start while you do this, DO NOT turn the key to the "on" position as 57fordf100 said.
If you DO want to be able to start it, make sure it's in "park" or "neutral" before cranking it, and do exactly as he said.
