Well, I looked in the tank and I cannot see any holes in the suction tube. It looks like the bottom of the tube is bent a bit at the weld spot. Any way to check if the tube has holes? BTW I drained out all the old gas.

Affix a hose or line to the top of the tube and with the tank full, blow into the affixed tube while looking into the sending unit hole and see where the bubbles come out.

thats how i found mine had a hole in it. i blew a air gun down the tube. it started bubbling at half tank. as well as the bottom because of the volume of air i ws putting in the tube.

I will give that a try. If I do find bubbles could I drill out the tube, bend it away and then put another length of fuel line into the tank?
