my dads 84 bronco with a 300-6 has one but its a little tiny one

hmm not sure if theres a difference but my 87 had a towing package so larger radiator etc. but it usually ran cool. as for getting it boiled out I've had it done on the 87 F150 and also on my Mothers 84 GMC Caballero it only cost between 50-65 dollars so it really aint that bad. Although I do understand lack of money All too well

i might have to look for a 300 with the tow package for the radiator i hope i dont have to get from alan johansens junkyard he charges about the same or more than a brand new part would cost

So after resolving the clogged radiater issue are you still gonna get a fan shroud for it or....since it's turned out to be the radiater it'self have you decided to save alittle bit of money and skip the shroud????

i will have to see how cool it runs first i plan on towing a 18 foot boat up a steep canyon a coupe times a year so i want this thing to keep its cool thenks everyone

well radiator turned out to have about twenty pin holes in it so i bought a napa radiator for $167

A shroud is always nice, but I bet you won't really need one if it never had one from
the factory. Also, if you run warmer due to a lack of a shroud, it will usually be when
you are stuck in traffic for a long time, and the airflow is fairly low being at idle.
Once moving it probably doesn't make a whole lot of difference.
Like I've said, mine has never had a shroud, and it doesn't overheat. But I have
seen the temp bump up a hair when stuck in traffic for real long times. Not enough
to boil over or anything though. Once I start moving, it'll creep back down to where
it usually sits. I saw that a bit a couple of weeks ago when I was stuck on the freeway
for about 30 minutes due to a wreck, with it about 95 degrees outside.
I'd flush the whole system real good when you change the radiator if you haven't
already done it. And a good 50/50 antifreeze mix.

whille im still lookin for a shroud but its fine for now i just need one before next year cause im going to get firewood in this truck and the road i have to drive is not good at all i can go about 5 mph max to many rocks to go much faster
