re: Lowering rear f100
Import, I gained a 31/4 inch drop on the rear by flipping the front shackle mount and bolting back in the lower two holes. You can than cut off the excess bracket hanging below frame level for a clean look. I bolted with grade 8 bolts 7/16 dia. You could also weld across the top and down the sides to strengthen since only two bolts would be holding. Like I say I gained a pretty mild drop like that, but you will have to alter pinion angle by a few degrees, but I don't think you would neat to remove perched and re-weld, just add shims. I decide that was not low enough for me so I'm now in the process of putting bags on my '71. I just cut c-notches yesterday. Any way I hope this helps!

re: Lowering rear f100
I flipped the axle on my '72 and had to notch the frame out for clearance as the axle housing was slamming into the frame. Mine dropped almost 7 inches once I installed new spring perches and 2 degree shims to achieve the proper angle.
If at first you don't succeed. Get another beer.
