Hey CS...

That looks like quite a project. lt looks like it's in pretty good shape except for a couple of rust throughs...The roof looks like it would be a PITB...
If your a good welder, which I'm not, you could possibly cut out a patch panel...
I think Fordman has a whole roof that he cut off of one of the trucks he parted out.

If you do it in a 80's theme, you will need a pantload of custom pinstriping & graphics. I think that was the ticket back then.

Correct the frame on a 67-72 is narrower in the back tha the 73-79 and later counterparts. Some say you can bridge the gap with minor fabwork



And tht shifter looks like either the column part broke or when they replaced te 240 a c4 was the only trans on hand and replaced a 3 on the tree. Whats the column look like?

I wuz wonderin' wot that thing wuz stiken out of yer floor...
I did somethin' like that when I wuz a teenager... I had a '62 Ford Station Wagon that was gutted to race on the dirt back roads...It was a blast...
I ditched it one time and ran a metal fence post through the floor just about the same place...

When I was in high school (1982-1986) the"in" wheels were not slot mags but Centerlines.

I think of slot mags being late-60's/early-70's and mid-70's being the five-spoke Cragar mags.

the trans shoul dbe like all cars and trucks PRND2L. the trans code should be on the passenger side of the trans on a tag located on the band adjustment cover bolt.

yes you can. all auot column are the same as far as how it shifts the transmission. it is the rod that may be longer or shorter for each transmission. do you know which trans you have? it could be a c4 a cruiseomatic or a mx. if its orginal to a 67. all three have removeable tailhousings. the way to tell is to look at the pan and how the dipstick goes into the trans. http://www.fordification.com/autoID.htm
