I don't know about a 79 but I was gonna use the front disks off of a 84 and I was told it wouldn't work,but I don't see how a 79 E150 suspension would be different from a 79 F150. I know motor and all that mess will work since I've got an 84 300 in my 72.

you cant use van brakes at all. because the steering linkage is in front on a van.
