Opinions wanted on oil pan gasket
I just installed my windage tray and oil pan on my 428 and after I had torqued down everything I noticed the gasket had squished out just a little bit. I used "The Right Stuff" on all 4 surfaces and I felt that it sealed really well. But I want your opinion if this will be fine or if I should re-do it. It squished out maybe 1/4 inch which leaves 3/4 in the right place. Plus I have always had problems sealing the rear of the pan and how this is on the side I'm not too concerned. What do you all think?

First, do not torque cork gaskets. Cork is not a repeatably compressible material, you tighten cork gaskets by feel and look.
Second, never use cork gaskets if anything else is available, especially double cork gaskets with a windage tray.
Paper gaskets or no gasket at all will work much better.

it may or may not leak. i would see if it will loosen up and push it back in. it looks like it was overtightened.
