Thanks, ezernut9mm. I have of course mulled over many changes, but like you say, stock LOOKING is nice. Maybe just a little wider wheel/tire combination in back to even the track.ezernut9mm wrote:… stock looking truck. wanna trade? .
As for trading... What else you got to throw in to sweeten the deal?

some stock 8"s would round that look off nicely. and i'm sure i don't have enough equity to make a fair trade, so you're safe for now.lee_ford wrote:Thanks, ezernut9mm. Now that looks good. More like a normal vehicle. The stance of a stock bump is too high for me.
Stock is more like a back woods gully jumping peak-up truk. (Said in my best southern red neck voice.) (Now I said it, so let the ribbing begin. )
In my defense, I would like to point out that modern trucks do not sit near as high as they did back then. If you want a high rider or a WORK truck, you can get one, but most F150s and such used for daily drivers, sit low compared to a stock Bump.

I just realized who you're talking about, I drive by this guys place all the time hauling fuel he has several vehicles sitting out in front of his shop. I have even seen this truck, unless he has more than one ( which I think he does). Never looks like anyone is around though when I drive by, it's a small world after all,wt4speed#2 wrote:The white one in the bottom photo is a members truck(325hotford) and everything he drives is lowered even his wifes Lincoln. He resides in Miles Tx . One heck of a fabricator. I think he was in Killen when we all met Keith. If Keith could come up with some pics he's the one that looks like an old farmer in coveralls I'll see if I can find some pics of his other rides.JG F100 wrote:Another silver one

i would have to disagree. the '04 and up f150s sit way too high. when you have just as much rubber on a 17, they sit up there a ways. my dad's '00 f150 is just about the right height for a work truck. it rides nice with a load, but isn't too high that it's annoying to load. i don't know why, but they felt it was necessary to make the f150 so tall.lee_ford wrote:Now that looks good.
