The Infamous 105's

Any one have any info on the 105 blocks they can share? Thanks Tim.

If I remember right they were service blocks that came along after no more cars or trucks were equipped with FEs. Like warranty and over the counter sales. I have heard this discussion before and it seems there was some lack of agreement on that or if they were any better or not.

In my travels I was told that they had steel cranks heavier castings and extra webbing at saddels dont know if its true yet havent seen one tore down yet my 68 f 100 has one thats not orginal to its year thats all I've been told.

I have one at this time that is for Sale and I think willowbilly3 will still be getting it but It has been Sonic Checked and WillTake the 4.13 Bore of the 428 and be fine....

The 105 is Cast just below that driver side Head on the Block,in place of the 352 that was cast on most Blocks..

BUT by NO Means are all 105's the Same,some came with the 428 Bore's cast into them and for the most part they were all just the every day 390 Bore's..

The only way to know is to Sonic Check the Block....
