Front tire bouncing

My front passager tire looks like it is bouncing up and down when I drive down the road. I am told it looks like it is bouncing up off the road and back down. I jacked the truck up, (F250 camper special, 1972) and shook the tire and it has no play. Could it be the shocks or an out of round/unballanced tire? Thanks

Yeah, sounds like worn shocks. If you push down hard a couple of times on that corner of the truck and it continues to bounce (more than once) that's definitely what it is.

I would guess the shocks.
Try this: Push down repeatedly on the front of the truck, really get it bouncing. Then let go and see if the front end keeps going. if it bounces more than twice, replace the shocks. Also look at the shocks. If they have oil streaks down the side, it's time for new ones.

Check the tire closely, that severe of a bounce is usually due to a defective tire (Such as a broken belt) you can usually see the problem as a wobble or as a bulge in the tread area when you turn it slowly.
