I took the truck out for its first high speed test, 55-70 mph, it failed miserably. I got up to 55 when its started hitching a little, which continued all the way to work. After work I got about a mile down the road and up to 45 when it started hitching again, I kept going till I could pull over, I see that my first of three fuel filters, a see through one, between the pump inlet and the tank, is damn near bone dry, but I have gas in the tank. So its starts and idles decent till you give it gas. I limped it home, checked the filter agian, still dry, let it sit for 30 minutes checked again, filter was full of gas.
So now I have gone and bought another filter, just to have a new one, I had a siphon effect on the tank side of the hose when I took it off. However after I start it back up it is not filling back up, motor running or not. My pump is a new stock mechanical, cant believe it would break already.
Any ideas, thanks!
I can test the pump but I need time and patiance, not something I have alot of right now
