Anyone installed dynomax headers?

Post by Old Bird »

I'm considering these headers for my 390 power steering/power brakes f250. Anyone here installed them? was it an afternoon job or a weekend? Any major surgery required to get them in?

Thanks!

It's for my twin boys, sure they're only 3 right now, but it's all for them! Well, and my twin girls. They're not even 1 yet, but when they are I'll have a pit crew!

They look like the ones i put on my '65 F250 years ago. You'll have to jack the motor up off of the mounts to get it to clear the steering box and you'll have to remove the starter and they'll drop right in front of the cross member. It's a weekend sort of job if you don't break off any bolts off in the head. Is your engine stock? if so, don't waste your money on headers. Been there, done that. I noticed NO change.

Thanks. I've got an exhaust leak, so I was just thinking of doing the swap while I was in there. The motor is mostly stock for now, the most I'll do to it is stick in a hotter cam.

yeah, that's why I did mine. It sounded alot nicer afterwards but no performance or mileage gains whatsoever. Just try and not break those top bolts. I broke 4.
