Post by rogerlc »

I just joined this site 5 minuets ago And i read the 2wd conversion to ps. My question is will a 1977 f-150 400 ci auto on the colunm saginaw gearbox bolt up directly to my 1970 f-250 390ci with headers manuel steering and originally a four on the floor without halving to put the 77 steering colunm in my truck i have put a c6 in mine with a hurst promatic II ratchet shifter on the floor and i like the bare colunm in my truck {no auto stick on it} any insight would be welcome

no the center shaft on any manual column is still too long to use with a saginaw box. you can swap shafts i think from the 77 column to the floor shift column and that will solve your problem.
