looking for the proper way to adjust lash on manual steering box on 1970 f-250. :?

I thought you werent suppose to adjust the steering box i know some people have done it.
You can pay more but you cant buy better.

I'm no expert on adjusting them but I did adjust the one on my 88 f-150 all that I did was loosen the nut on the adjusting screw and then turn the screw in a turn or so and tighten the nut back up. I know that you really don't want to adjust it to much because I heard that it can bust a gear or lock up on you driving down the road. :2cents: I never had any problem when I adjusted mine but like I said I only turned it like 1 turn. Hope that helps you in some way.

Thanks Guy's thats what i was looking for! doe's ford use wheel bearing grease for lubricant?
