I know this reply is about a month late, but WOW!!!! ...this truck is SWEET!!!

The first pic reminded me of my truck...mostly because I think this is the first Silver F100 I've seen other than mine. But mine definitely has a Long way to go before getting as clean as this truck...

CrewCabFan, nice wheels.... 8) here's mine incase you missed it before....

I'm so tired of these Glummy pics... I need to take some more on a day that stays nice. Wheels look alot better in person.

It gives the brake light/turn signal/tail light a purple hue(instead of red) when applied

They're "Blue Dot's". They're a classic '50's Hot Rod thing. & they look Bitchin' in our trucks.

You CAREFULLY drill a hole in the taillights & insert these right in front of the brake light bulb. When you're driving down the road they glow Red like normal. But when you step on the brakes, you get a cool Purple glow. I've had a pair in EVERY car I've ever owned....4x4s, Mercedes, 57 Chev, Jag, Geo Metro, Mustang, Chrysler Town & Country, etc.

Here's a link, though you can get 'em at any decent speed shop. I recommend the faceted GLASS type...they glow better.
****But Caution- They're ILLEGAL in many states. :shh: Cops think Blue or Purple lights should only come from Police Cars.***

Thank you very much mike68merc, I didn't have a clue what they were about, and I always thought they looked cool. A couple people on this site have them and it is the only place that I have ever seen them. Heck I think I might just go out and get some and put 'em on.

Nothing this inexpensive say's "I'm a REAL Hot Rodder" like Blue Dots. 8)

Be cautious when drilling out your lenses that you don't crack them. A drill press & a Forstner Bit is best, but I've also drilled 'em by hand
with a Spade, or a Paddle bit, but it takes a careful touch. I'd drill an 1/8" hole right in the center of the lens, (right in front of the brake light) then go to whatever size bit the maker of your dots recommends. The stainless retainer ring has tabs that are made to bend over, but I don't like the way you can see them throught the lens, so I just TWIST the tabs instead. That way they're not nearly as visible! When you're done put a light ring of clear silicone around the dot inside the lens. It acts like an adhesive & they won't jiggle all around & leak.
Good Luck!

Dirtworker - Show us MORE. Looks pretty hot!

F100builder - Dig the Bluedots! & Oregon leaves us alone about 'em too.
Is that the shifter I see through the window? Looks like you'd hit your knuckles on the headliner shifting!

Thanks for the nice words guys........I bought this thing as its third owner back in 96' while is was still all original.
Been through it from front to back since then. Its still street legal and i do still drive it some>(mostly to the dragstrip).
Its a 1967 w. a stroked 545 BBF. C6 tranny, and a dana 60 rear w. 4.11 gears. Through mufflers and on a street slick its run into the high 10's so far. Weighs 4100 lbs. :D

Enjoy!

Hey Dirt Worker! That is a beautiful truck; that's the same yellow I want to paint mine with some day.

What's that exact color and where did the paint come from?

Also, what's a 545 BBF? Is that an FE engine or based on a 460?

It looks amazing!

Okay, you're racing at Firebird and I've never seen that truck (granted I haven't been there for about a year)...
