Post counts have been resynchronized

While installing a new forum modification this evening, I had to resynchronize the overall forum post count. This means that most of the members will have a lower post count than what they previously had. This is due to posts have been either been automatically pruned or manually deleted by myself or one of the moderators...deleting those posts weren't affecting each user's post count. However, the new forum mod depends on post count, and the synchronization step was necessary. The post count you now see next to your username is the true number of posts you have in the database after the prunes/deletions were taken into account.

Sorry guys...but it was a necessary small step backwards which will enable us to take a large step forward.

(FWIW...I lost nearly 4,000 posts!)

Nope. I never look at anyones post count but the only time I do is when someone is buying something with one post count, then i just be alittle careful.
It really just shows how much you run your mouth... or fingers?

Did anyone loose there post rankings though after the recount? For instance did anyone from %100 fordified to blue oval guru? Just curious.

I have no way of knowing this, but I'm sure a few did. Whatever a member's true post count is now, is the ranking they're at, so if anyone had just been promoted and only made a couple more posts immediately afterwards, I'd say they probably got temporarily demoted after the sync operation.

Also, some of you who have been around since the old Runboard forum days might recall that when we migrated from Runboard to the present setup, I manually edited the post counts here for the Runboard members to include their posts there as well....which obviously is no longer being done.

i lost about 3000 posts. good for me. i dont like having that many. i don't eel right havign that many. i have stopped doing some things to cut that down but it doesn't seem to help when i reply to stuff like this. so i just gained another one.

Members get their first star at 250 posts, and then as follows:

- Preferred User - 250
- Blue Oval Fan - 500
- Blue Oval Fanatic - 750
- Blue Oval Guru - 1000
- 100% FORDified! - 1500
