Removing Steering Wheel

Post by 2ToneBeater »

Smoke came out from behind the horn button late last week, followed by my turn signals and brake lights no longer working. I took the rubber off the horn button, only to find a big plastic peice blocking my access to the nut holding the wheel on. How do I get this out of the way? Hopefully the picture shows up correctly. Am I going about this the right way? I am replacing the turn signal assembly inside the colum.

You'll need to remove the Phillips-head screws on the backside of the steering wheel.

UGH! Totally skipped my mind. I think the truck frustrated me enough last night that I overlooked such a simple thing. Yea, I'm gonna blame it on that.... frustration.

Thanks,

"Yeah 220, 221, whatever it takes."
