thanks for the pics marz! i'll save them.

i also love the grey coys!! i think i'd trade straight across for a set right now!! :hmm:

Edit...... you know after going back and looking at it again, i don't believe those are coys. the center caps look like torque thrusts. man i should have had the guts to go grey with mine
Your truck looks sick as is  but yeah those are torque thrusts on the dent side.

Brad,

i looked up a phone number for American Racing in CAL, and when i called them on that number they gave me another # to their custom shop. i wished i'd keep up with them for future reference but i didn't

a big set of grey center 20's would look absolutely killer on pearls black paint!!!!!

What type of link setup are you planning on using?

I would reccomend redoing the upper shock mount brackets, they should be in the same position as the bottom so they wont bind. My buddy bought a truck that had the shocks like that and the mount was tore off at the frame.

Brad,

if i was you i'd call them and inquire about the 5x5.5 bolt circle, i notice none of their products are listed in it. i'm guessing they'll make what you want but i could be wrong. :? if you find out let me know just to cure my curiosity
Oyea i looked at the C-57's that a great looking wheel!! sort of nostalgic looking hu?

 Yes I did. As you all have discussed, there is a pretty limited selection of wheels made for the 5x5.5 bolt pattern, & then when you finally find a wheel that'll bolt up, you see how few offsets are available!!! Also, my Mustang II IFS kit came standard with 5x4.5. The hubs are super easy to re-drill, & I knew I had to have them machined to accept the rear disks anyway. 5x4.5 seems to be fords most common hub size (for full size vehicles), & it's been used for a long time. So I didn't fight it, & went with the 5x4.5. There's GAZILLIONS of wheel options, & offsets available for 5x4.5, so no special ordering is required.

This is the re-drilled rear hub.
By the way, Tim asked if they could be ordered in 5x5.5... Looking at the wheels, It doesn't look like there's enough meat left on the Flange to be drilled out that big...But I'm curious to see what the answer will be.

here's a cool lowered bump. this is a pic i took a few years ago at the RodRun in pigeon forge TN. it had FE series motor and 4-link with coil over rear suspension. very sweet truck !! i looked at it until my eyes hurt  notice the nice job done on the wheel wells in the bed.

That is a sweet looking truck td. My only question is, why would he take the time to shave the door handles and not take the time to put in an underbed tank? It just seems like a waste of time to do one and not the other...

That is true. I am glad you posted it, I plan to go with a one color paint job with shaved handles (AND KEYHOLES) and no gas filler. I think it will look good when I am done. Now if only I could pick a color. :hmm:

Good eye, I missed that too!! I actually like that look, if it were an original truck then keep the vent windows but if you are going lowered and custom I think it looks good without them. Is there a kit you can get to do that? Or is it all custom work?

its a cool mod for extreme customs, and if there was a affordable kit offered for our trucks i'd jump on it. unfortunately there's not one, and what i've read here on the subject it requires a upper door hinge modification. if you did a search on vent windows here, you'd find some discussion on the topic here somewhere
