Parts / Fabrication Help

Post by MadMaxetc »

OK, I am in need of some parts. I am installing the Front sway bar from a Dentside and need the brackets that hold it to the frame.

Here is a Drawing of what I need.

Originals are cool, or if someone can help fabricate that would be great!

*** That should be 8 Gage Steel ***

I put new bushing on a sway for a 94 s10 blazer 4X4 a week ago and if remember right it had ones about that size, I think the ones a on 80-96 bronco 4X4 is also about that size. in a few day when I go to the junk yard I will take measurements to find what has one that size

werent the ones i had worth using? i figured they could be bent back into shape. as far as making new ones to make that bend you would want to heat the metal and pound it around a piece or round stock the same size as the piece you need to replace. then bend two flat tabs and drill holes in the tabs.

One broke durring the Re-Forming process. (It had been bent back and forth a bit. The other one I cant do because I don't have a torch.

I will see what my freinds can do here too. Just thought that someone might have some or might be able to make a few.

I pulled a sway bar of a dent 250 hoping it would fit a bump but it does not. I will sell it to you. You can see it on my website. http://www.bjandkristen.com/myf100/salvage-treasures

Thanks for the offer, but I have just about all I need, so I hate to brake up a good set of harware.

That should fit your Bump as long as it is a 2x4. You just need the right brackets for the radious arms.

http://npd.dirxion.com/Main.asp

On page 70 in he upper left you can see all the parts. You might have o put a little knotch in your radious arm.

I got them made. My friend accross town has a press and torch, so it only took a few min.

Now I just need to place my order from NPD to get the bushings to install it.

I got the drivers side bracket on the axle today. All I can say is do this when you are replacing the shocks. It makes it a LOT easier to get the spring out then.

Everything will work just fine. I got the other side on today, 1hour flat. Compressing the spring takes FOREVER! The shocks are new and already rusted tight, so no removing them.

All of the other parts are there and in good shape. Just waiting on the bushings from Energy Suspention.

You gave me a great price and I was happy to get what I got. Not a problem.

They were the easy brackets to make anyway.
