ok, I will make sure I get the whole procedure before I start, but basically I found out that I need a saginaw box from an early 71' model truck. :D

Hey ares360

PS didn't become readily available until '73... '73 -'79 boxes will bolt right in and are lots easier to find.
You just have to match the idler arm with your other steering componets.
When you figure out which kind of idler arm you need put up a "parts wanted" post...
I got mine from one of the guys here...

Just a quick note, the 65-79 trucks do not have an idler arm. The arm on the steering box is a Pitman arm. The idler arm is a part used on many vehicles and is mounted on the opposite frame rail from the steering box. If you go anywhere and ask for an idler arm for one of our trucks the parts guys will just stand there scratching their heads because it does not exist. Hawkrod
