I put a rear disk brake conversion on a Toyota Landcruiser once. What you did was remove all the drum hardware, then you bolted a set of caliper brackets to the axel and used a pair of chebby calipers and a dodge rotor. It was all done with hand tools, no welding or cutting required.
Has anybody done this to a classic Ford F-100?[/img]

re: Rear disk brake conversion
I have done the same thing to 14 bolts and D60s by making my own bracket and using chevy rotors and eldarado calipers. The chevy rotors worked out better then the ford rotors. Chevy rotors are deeper so you didn't need to add another 1/2" of spacers to get the calipers line up.
