Parking brake cable w aux tank

Post by albertv78 »

Is the front cable on a 1972 w/out aux tank different than one with the aux fuel tank? On this diagram it shows both as number 2853 so I think their the same.

What do you guys think?
Thanks,

No, they're definitely different. The number you're looking at is a basic part number, which will be the same for all Ford parking brake cables...car, pickup, etc. The equalizer (where the rear cables hook up to the front) is also different, just an FYI.

Check out this link for info when I was doing mine:
