Tire size

Post by OldRedFord »

I traded for a set of 31x10.5 Michelin X radial LT tires to put on my F100. I think they are 15x10 wheels. Best way to mesure? But my main question is...will they rub in the front?

They look like a factory ford wheel to me. Look on the back side of the wheel. Should say on there some where what size they are. If they are a fatory ford wheel I think they are 15x8's.

12x16.5's

They clank into front fenders when I bottom it out. Now bottoming out a F250 is pretty drastic, I have done so a few,
maybee more than few, times. Yup, they rub. So, who cares. It's a truck!!!.Baby shakes her head, the dust flies and
hi ho silver down the road we go.Self flairing fenders, and all. Get with the program and drive it like you stole it. It
ain't no "sissy/GM" truck, it's a Ford! It will not break. I been tryin to break one for 30yrs. No Dice. The only time I
saw a 250 busted was after the big quake in the 70's. Fontana Steel loaded a 20,000 pound BOULDER in the bed of a
new 250. Well, it actually broke the truck. Most folks don't do that. It was kinda cool to look at though! Keep that in
mind. No 20,000 pound boulders or it's shot. That ain't FORD tough, thats plain stupid. Jake

putting the autofab 5" lift on and will be upgrading to 18" wheels (for bigger brakes in the future) and running 35x12.5R18...really cant go wrong with the BFG but will probably run the TOYO with the load rating E (will put all the new stuff on when the BFG wear out  )
