Bendix P/S Gear & Headers

Hello,
after being a member of this site for quite a while and reading the section on the p/s conversion and that headers will not work with the bendix box. my question is why? I managed to get the driverside header on the engine and have not yet tried the passenger side yet but in the article it says there is a clearance issue. What is that issue?

i dont know what headers your using but i got Hedman Headers and installed them a week ago. there is about 1mm of room between one of the header's pipes and my PS box.
maybe you read about clearence issues with a different header than yours? if it isn't actually rubbing on the PS box you should be fine

Well the driverside header is rubbing just a little bit on the gear box but I really dont care. I really dont have any other option other than putting manifolds back on which I dont have or buying a new ford box and everything that is attached to it. The engine looks great but this truck is becoming a nightmare

Oh on another note...while fordification has been down I looked to FTE for some answers, that place really does suck and doesnt even come close to comparing to this site, the one thing that pissed me off the most were all the banners everywhere. All I have to say is i'm glad Fordification.com is back and oh and Thanks guys...
