I just mounted the cab to the frame on my 67 F100 2WD and it looks like the floor pans are really close to the frame. I can barely slide a 3/16 inch allen wrench between the floor pans and the frame. Does anyone know how close floor pans normally are to the frame with good cab mounts?
Thanks, Bob

re: Floorpan to frame clearance
Just checked mine and it appears to be about 5/8-3/4".
Mine is still sitting on the original mounts.

Thanks for checking MAK. I wonder what would be the best way to raise it up.
I was thinking about putting large flat washers between the cab mounts and the rubber bushings but I am concerned about the possibility of the cab sliding around.

How does the bump in the cab line up with the bed bump? Since the bed bolts directly to the frame, when aligning a cab you use the bed as a constant reference. If the cab bump is lower than the bed bump, the cab mounts are rusted out and/or the bushings have collapsed.

re: Floorpan to frame clearance
Keith, I don't have the bed on it, only the cab. I think the front of the cab is sitting too low because the 4 holes in the new steering column rubber seal are about a half inch higher than the holes in the firewall even though the steering column lines up perfectly with the steering box and coupler. I think the back of the cab is sitting the correct distance from the frame because the new rubber bushings are the same thickness as the original ones and nothing else was changed in the rear of the cab. I did however install new front cab mounts that were not the same design as the originals. I am using new rubber bushings in the front that are the same thickness as the originals so I am thinking the replacement front cab mounts are the problem.
