Brake adjustment

Post by wildcard »

I know I could go do the trial and error method, but does anyone know offhand which direction the adjusting wheels turn to tighten the brakes.

Thanks, I was going to tackle that today. That is until my floor shifter brackets broke and put me on a new project that lasted all day. Thanks for the reply.

Usually what you do is to turn the adjuster until you can't spin the wheel manually, and then back the adjuster on each wheel out, until you can spin the wheel with the slightest amount of drag. Then continue to back the adjuster out 10-12 clicks.

Thanks. For some reason I had in my feeble mind that one side or one end turned opposite the other.
