hidden tailgate latch ??

does anybody know if these hidden latches from Mar-k will work with our tailgates? their site only lists them for earlier chevys. but by looking at the the way they function it seems to me they may work on bumps. does anybody have any experience with these?

Why not just get the kit meant for Ford tailgates?

does that come with all new parts or do you use some of the stock one's? my handle has a lot of wear in it.

I haven't personally bought that, but the picture shows the new handle and the rods that will hook up to the existing latches at each end of the tailgate. Seems pretty complete to me.

one more ? please. when i move my latck to the inside i want to weld in a patch panel on the outside. do you think there will be clearance to do this using the relocated latch? i don't want to skin the whole tailgate.
