Howdy from Dalton GA
Hows it goin everybody? Im adam, and ive been checking your site periodically since meeting one of your members at the show in knoxville a few months back.
i dont have any pictures to share at the moment, but my personal truck is a 70 swb blu/whi. 460/c6/9"-3.70. pretty much stock exterior and interior. ive also done a disc swap and some suspension upgrades, cd player, just basic stuff. ive had it since i was 15 and have no intention of ever selling. I <3 my truck.
my dad is an enthusiast as well. right now we have his 70 xlt blown to pieces. However, im about to spray the frame and get the suspension in place and start with the assembly. his is going a little off the beaten path... we've built a turbo small block and a custom kit built around a pt67 and a blow thru setup.
come to think of it.. I do have a few pics of the fabrication (bear in mind this was before any other work commenced, so its kind of rough.)
Hes an old man so he insisted the wastegate be re routed into the exhaust. The truck will also only have a single 3" exhaust pipe. (most likely through a borla) should be kinda quiet for 500+ whp
these things have plenty of room at the top of the grille, but things get tight near that splash guard, so the new core support was trimmed to match the shape of the intercooler, and the rad was set back 1". Good news is that there is absolutely no interference with the grille.
All the goodies back after therma chrome....

Sweet setup!
Welcome to the site!
On your turbo setup are you only using the exhaust from the one side of the motor or do you have them "Y'd" together? can't quit see from the pics.

You, actually. One of my primary reasons for creating a login here. we both fell in love with your truck's stance. absolutely perfect427blackpearl wrote:don't listen to td let me drive it

And thanks for all of the kind words guys. Yeah, it should be a fun ride for sure.
I havent figured out the multi quote on here yet (does it have it?) But anyhow, the hot parts on the turbo are as follows: fox body equal length shorties flipped and vbanded to a 2.5" ypipe. then to the turbo..
And were in dalton, which is maybe 25-30 minutes south of Chattanooga TN via 75.

Nice setup!!!
Where did you get the aftercooler? I am doing a cummins diesel conversion in mine and am looking for one with as little cutting as possible.

Thats cool.. Ive always kind of wanted to put a 7.3 with sequentials in our old green/ yellow/ grey/ rust 70. Just afraid all of that power will shear the elephant ears off the doors.mljjones67 wrote:Nice setup!!!

but the intercooler is a precision 850 or 875... their part number should be something like pte8500. We got this one from Proline race engines here in GA. But i generally get all of my turbo stuff from Pag parts in new york.. Both are a pleasure to deal with.

re: Howdy from Dalton GA
welcome pretty much how i routed my turbo and innercooler. i got 20 foot of 4 inch stainless that i am trying to get out the back. having the mustang II gives me alittle more room but being slammed doesn't help.
should check out my link to my buddies twin turbo 65 fastback.
