New member from Nebraska

Post by Blue2Ghost »

Hello All from southwest Nebraska!
My two long-term Ford projects are, first, a 1972 F100 long-bed fleetside 2wd. It has a 240 six with a C-4 trans. All factory. I love this truck, it gets around 19 mpg on the highway and is a comfortable ride.
My second, very involved, Ford project is a 1972 F500, lowered, 300 six with a 4-sp trans and 2-sp rear axle. I am shortening the wheel base and frame, spliting and widening a long-box stepside bed to properly cover the dually wheels, which also involves adding wheelwells on the inside of the bed. I have the Ford dealer installed A/C with factory climate controls. I have been thinking about doing this project for about 17 years. My wife finally told me to quit talking about it and do it! :)

I like my trucks, but they are both a 'work in progress'. It will probably be a year or so before my F500 in really decent. My F100 is ok, but no show truck. It's a 50 footer. :) I will post pics eventually but my digital camera quit and it'll probably be a month or so before I replace it....
