Replacing Cab Mounts

Post by JWW »

I'm getting ready to repair some areas on my cab floor. I will also replace both cab mounts.

My question is: What is the best way to make sure I put the replacement cab mounts back in the same place as the originals? I thought about taking measurements before chiseling off the old ones. I was curious is any of you guys have any tricks you have used in the past. I don't want to go the long way on replacing these.

Thanks

Bump...

OK, I took some measurements. I feel pretty good about replacing them.

However, has anyone ever riveted the mounts back on? Should I just weld back or both rivet and weld? Thanks for any advise.

Skip the rivets... They are nothing but a moisture catcher...

Yeah weld will do the trick. No need for rivets.
