On the rear of my '69 F250 camper special, the original rims exist. They are 8 bolt, 16.5". The fronts have some "rally" rims that I want to replace to match the rear.
The wrecker said he has 16.5x6.00 and 16.5x6.75. How do I determine what size of the rims I have? Looking for intuitive numbering has been fruitless so far.
Thanks
Bill

I would look at what size tires you are going to run in the future. ie. wider rims fit wider tires.
If you are going to stay stock looking I think the 16.5x6 is the way to go. but thats JMHO
Make sure you look at backspacing for clearance to anything like calipers, tie rod ends, ect. if they aren't stock wheels
IIRC the rim sizes are stamped in the INSIDE of the wheel. so you would need to dismount your tires to find the size.

In life many men take the path of righteousness, some take the path many others follow (G.M. owners, for example), some take a more arduous path, some a simpler path. I, sir, took the PSYCO-PATH!!

re: Determining rim size
My '68 Camper Special came stock with 16.5 x 6.75 wheels and I think that's what yours are. The F250's got two different wheel widths for the 16.5's, 6.0 standard and 6.75 optional. I believe Camper Specials all got the 6.75's.
You could measure yours with a straightened-out coat hanger or stiff piece of wire. Stick it thru one of the slots in the wheel next to the rim and line up the end of the wire with the inner bead. Now mark the wire at the location of the outer bead and measure the distance from the end of the wire to the mark you just made.
What size tires are on your two stock wheels? 8.00 and 8.75 tires can go on either the 6.0 or 6.75 rims but 9.50 tires can only go on the 6.75 rims.
Edit: I just saw your truck pic in the welcome forum. Looks like you've got the 6.75's but measure anyway.

"Yeah 220, 221, whatever it takes."
