Aluminum grille repair

Post by AK F100 »

I tried to find some posts on this, but had no luck. I recently got ahold of a front clip for my bump and it has a decent grille and if I can figure out how to repair the dents and dings (good enough for a daily driver), I would like to use it instead of the painted steel one I currently have.
Thanks in advance for any help.

there are a few threads on people doing this. Mugwump had a dented headlight guard part of a aluminum grill and he made some wooden forms that fit the grills shape where it was dented and hammered. im sure he can explain it alot better lol

 Thanks 71.
I just read the whole thread and that's real good info. I should be able to repair most of the damage.
