What color, if any is the "Ford F100" emblem mounted on the side of the hood? I assume the "Ford" letters are black, but I can't find any pictures of the rest of the part that is "F190". Is the field behind the "F100" any color at all? or just chrome?
I thougth I remember seeing once that the field between the raised chrome edges was orange but I can't remember.
I don't really care about brands Chevy Ford Dodge ...as long as it doesn't sound like two old dudes farting in a coffee can. http://s169.photobucket.com/albums/u223/imabaka70/ Projects listed on the left side
WOOOT!! i passed my mechanics classes. Now working as a mechanic and waiting to go for my ASE certifications.
If you're looking for 67, I like to refer to it as kind of a "washed out" tomato red. Steve's pic is good, but here are a couple shots of some NOS (or dang near) '67 emblems I have "in waiting" that might help. I'm actually guessing that these emblems once graced a truck that didn't live very long, but I don't know their exact "provenance".

LOL! Yep... those are mine. The backs are as clean and pretty as the fronts, too. I paid a pretty penny for them, though. They're currently wrapped in soft cloth and packed away in a box on a shelf, awaiting that unknown day in the future when the old girl gets new paint, etc.
I've also got a NOS set of "FORD" letters... not repops, but originals. I have a couple of decent Camper Special emblems I've obtained, too, and now just need to get new "Custom Cab" emblems to take care of all of that.
