Post by 1971ford »

how do you get that clip off of the leaf pack that holds the leafs together? i got one of the clips off that was held togethre by a bolt, but the other clip is riveted in on one side, and is seperated on the other side.

im guess you pry it apart?????????

I believe so. I think when they are put together the tab is put through the slot, then hammered over to secure it.

Put up and picture and I can tell you for sure.

Take out the center bolt (the one that goes through all of the springs, right in the center) first. Then, you should just be able to slide the leaves out one by one. The clamp does not have to be pried apart to break down the spring pack.
