Well as luck would have it, she's starting to feel better and now I've got it, so we haven't gone and moved the truck to our house yet. But I did get a call from a friend on some of the parts I was looking for. He bought one to crush, and it had some good parts. I went and looked it over and found it was a 71 with power steering, a/c, and a blue vinyl seat that was original and perfect other than a rust stain where something had laid in the truck. I salvaged the seat and the underdash a/c assembly, salvaged the original jack, handle and mounts. bump trim to replace the missing stuff on the 68. When I'm allowed to go out and play outside again, :D I'll get some pics of the parts to post as well, I was floored that the seat was in the condition it was, wish the floor mat would have been as good. I got the call the day before he junked it, so didn't get to salvage all I wanted too, wish I could have, most parts we won't use on her truck, as she wants it the way it was when her dad had it, but I couldn't let the a/c go to the junk iron place.

 Please tell me that it hasn't come to this!!! People buying up classic cars and trucks just for some quick scrap cash?!! What's this world/economy/hobby coming to?!! Was the truck really junk with only a few usable parts? I think I'm gonna be sick! :hs: :(

Well the bed was pretty rusted, but the rest of the truck wasn't bad at all, the cab was better than most I had seen. I hated to see it come to that, but he had already had it loaded and ready to go, another friend of mine tried to rescue the truck for parts to his, but he was too late. It's actually pretty common around here, people look for old trucks and stuff to strip and crush. He's more a mustang guy, he did salvage the 302 and auto tranny that was in it, the truck had sat up for probably 7-8 years, and after a little playing he said it fired right up. I salvaged what I could, but I was already getting sick at that point and couldn't do much more. I didn't have anywhere to put the truck myself or I would have bought it to resale.

Here's a link to pictures of the truck and the seat out of the 71. The sun visors are from the 71 as well, we have the original's for the 68. Other than being dirty the white ones are good, so if anyone needs some let me know. The A/C from the 71 as well. I have all the bump trim for the cab, but need to find some for the bed. Looks like we are going to need a hood. and some work on the bed but otherwise it's not as bad as some i've seen.
