removing seam sealer for welding ?
could someone please offer me some advice on removing the sealer in the bed seam? the large seam above the bump and the small seam that runs horizonal at the rear of the bed. THANKS !

re: removing seam sealer for welding ?
I couldn't get a wire wheel on my grinder in the seam deep enough to get it all cleaned out. Maybe if I could find one that wasn't so thick. I got suggestions on here ranging from using a hack saw blade to sand paper by hand, to carefully slipping a pneumatic cut-off wheel in the seam and working your way along to grind it out.
I actually haven't made time to get back out and try any of those solutions.
