another POR-15 question.

Post by 1971ford »

so this morning i soaked the rear of the frame in metal ready for the required 15 min., and then i got a bunch of wet rags and tried to remove as much of it as i could. now there is a light coating of the white that the Metal Ready leaves behind. should there be no white?
i dont want to lay down the por-15 until i can get a confirmation that ive got enough Metal Ready off....

that's the zinc phosphate which helps protect against rust.
If you could rise with a hose youd be better off, but you need not to worry about the residue left behind by the medal ready.
