g'day guys, just wany to know how much of a difference is there between 67,68,69 grille's,the reason i ask is my truck currently has a 72 grille in it and i hate it :pout: ,iv been chasing a 69 grille in good nick for 12 months but most of them are dented or crack,....i just looked at the truck from SAUDI and that's the grille i want :drool: ,would it fit a 69if i can get hold of one :?

Yes, a '67-'69 grille will fit onto a '70-'72 truck, though you might have to drill a hole or two where the grille attaches to the front of the fenders. Also, the lower valance panel used for the '70-'72 grille is different from the earlier panel....the later panel as a wider notch in it on each end for the turn signal assembly, which is mounted to the panel. The earlier valance panel has a narrower notch for the grille-mounted turn signal assembly. Therefore, while an early grille will work with a later valance panel, it won't look right IMO....and the later grille will NOT work with the early valance panel.

I just out a 68 grill on the 70 I am building for my daughter and it looks great w/70 valance I will post pics soon

thank's keith<i just went to the front page and had a read there, i look at the grille i want to put in, i think it was the 67 ranger where the horizontal slats are all equal in thickness from top to bottom :thup: ,.....will continue my search :help: .........oh and what's that bloody bug thing stuck in you box,.....i tried to wipe it off twice, the third time i took a closer look :dk: ....you got me!! :bow: ...........i want one :thup:

look at this, i put a 69 grill on my 71 with no drilling or anything. i could drill the extra holes but i dont see it necessary.
