UH-OH! steering box leaking in 71

so we come home from a long drive to nevada in the 71 and nothing leaks. then i put it for sale and it must of known because now its mad and its leaking out of the bottom of the steering box.

can i get a seal kit or something? no way im paying $500 or whatever for another box :eek:

$149 for rebuilt from NPD.
or a seal kit for $16.72.

edit for above-
you'd want the Gear Selector shaft seal kit.
Pg. 75 $32.10
Then again, if your selling the truck just pull that lower seal and get one to match.
Maybe someone will come up with a part #.
I've got a rebuild box sitting on the shelf up in the garage. I'll take a look and see if I can get a # off the seal..
