chrome strip door guard?????

Post by 1971ford »

i noticed that in my Ford magazine that on this 352 original mile truck, that it has a strip of chrome running down the doors end to protect it. they mention it as well as a door guard, and it was an option or something.

its something ive never seen or heard about before :?
i want some :D

you can barely see it in this picture, you can see it best on the section of the door above the bump trim, and below the in-cab filler neck.

I've seen those come up on e-bay a few times...
They usually go pretty high... but look really nice.

Is there a substitute for those? They look sharp, is there a generic from J C Whitney or something?

I don't know of anyone who does have them... you might try NPD.
All the ones I've seen on e-bay have been NOS OEM ones...
which is why they went so high...
