today i welded on my brackets for my 4" drop brackets, to complete my 4" lift!! its finnaly over. (for thoes who dont know what was going on, with my bigger coils on , my camber was off so i needed to drop the i-beams to get it back to normal) its really late so i stopped working to get some sleep soon, i still have to get the i-beams bolted into the new brackets, get my left side back lifted, and clean the welds up with a brush. i really want to start welding gas, to make my welds more pretty
Looks nice. Have you thought about reinforcing it somehow? Not saying it wouldn't hold but I always put more than I need. (I love overkill ) The further those I beams get away from the frame the more torque is applied to your welds and the frame. Just my 2 cents. And the truck looks awesome with the lift!
i did before i welded them on, but these things are very strong as is, i dont think i will reinforce anything right now, but after i take it out when i get my back u-bolts i may.
i just talked to the old man about putting a kit together, and we are going to give it a shot, what do we have to lose . I know how to make websites so im going to put a little page up of prices that im asking for the brackets, and full kits.. Before I made this lift I looked at Auto-Fab's lifts, they were way to expensive for me and I didnt like the thought of bending i-beams. So if anyone is looking for drop brackets / or a lift kit at a good price I can give you materials needed to complete it. I know I could not get away with posting this thread about me selling cutom lift kit materials on FTE, so im very glad this forum is here. Just a little project I thought I would try to give a shot.
I would add a leteral brace on the back side of each braket that goes up the the framerail. Check out the passenger side (left) drop braket for a TTB lift.
