EUREKA!

Post by Kurt Combs »

I think I found the source of the noise I was blaming on the front suspension! The bottom of the driver's side front fender is loose. The bracket that it bolts to is broken and the bottom of the fender is moving around. Easy fix with a mig welder and few minutes of time! I found it while I was at the "magic wand" car wash removing the grime from my front-end so I could better inspect the suspension to locate the source of the noise. I hope this is it, easy fix.

my 65 did the same thing at speed it sounded like an inconsistant knocking on the pass. side of course to my mind I was thinking the worst case scenarios and it was just the lower fender bracket as well letting the fender move at speed
