Hump cover
Do all bumps have a removable trans hump cover? I've never had my floor mat up. I'm thinking of putting a nice reverse lockout floor shifter in, but I don't want to cut holes. If they all have the removable panel, I'll just get a junkyard one and cut a hole in it for the new shifter.

re: Hump cover
The ones I've looked at are cable type. I just really don't want to drill any holes in my original sheetmetal if I don't have to.
Could I tell from underneath if my truck has the removable hump?

I would think you would see the ends of sheet metal screws---just a thought.

The 4spd/4x4/c6 trucks had the cover because of the bigger transmissions but the 3spd and smallblocks with C4 trans didn't.

re: Hump cover
I wouldn't think you would have to cut up a cab that originally had a small block or c4 but idk I have never had one that did not have the removable hump.
