Adding a Tilt Steering Column?
Ive switched my steering column out of my 67 merc with a 79 tilt. One thing i noticed in the article written on this site(http://www.fordification.com/tilt.htm) was that there was only mention of neutral switch rewiring. Does rewiring include cutting out the hole in the column for the "finger" that pushes against the switch? Or is there another way that they have done it? I cannot see the switch anywhere on the column in the pictures provided. Thanks in advance.

67Merc",
What tranny do you have?
If it's the C-4 or the C-6 this can be done with a dent era switch that mounts onto the tranny selector shaft.

re: Adding a Tilt Steering Column?
I have a C-6 tranny. Also maybe this is a stupid question but what exactly is a dent era switch and where can they be purchased?
Also if anyone knows, since the neutral switch would be on the tranny selector where would my reverse light switch go?

The neutral safety switch and reverse light switch on the later model stuff is on the transmission.
It looks like this.

You can see it mounted on this trans...

Dent era is refiring to the 73-79 ford trucks.
