hood hinge fix

Post by 1lowf150 »

i am working on a 70 ranger i have done a crown vic front clip, and thunderbird irs rear, the frame frome the front clip back is built by me so i can lay the rockers on the ground when i let the air out of the bags.i have discovered that my hood hinges are going to hit my tire when my truck sits all the way down.i am running the stock crown vic wheels and the tires are about 27" tall, i know the simple fix is just put shorter tires on the front, but i was hoping for another option. i have seen at least two bumps on here laying out like mine will and they both looked like they had decent height tires on them. any help would be great.

thank's basketcase0302, thats not a bad idea. it looks pretty straight forward, hinge the core support mounts tie the radiator back into the fire wall. i may look into this, i just hate the thoughts of cutting my fenders up. they are not perfect, but they are real nice stock ones.
