'69 to '66 interchange

Post by QC »

Does anyone know if a front hub from a '69 F-100 will fit on a '66 F-100? I know the brakes are wider on the '69, but I'm wondering about just the hub, not the drum. I have a friend with a '66 that needs a new hub and could use his own drum.
I tried to convince him to take the entire drum set-up from my '69 and convert to the 3" wide front shoes but he doesn't want to do that.

the easiest way to tell is to see if both hubs use the same bearings.the online parts stores are a good way to checkto see if the part numbers are the same

Why would he want to use narrow brakes when a 3" set is available? I bet he'd take and use them if you just dropped 'em off.
