underbody color?

Does anybody know if the underbody was originally painted? Was there any paint on the gearbox/tail, frame, rearend? All I ever remember seeing was rust and mud?

haha maybe they all came rust/mud colored from the factory. Im pretty sure the bed and the cab came painted from the factory. I dont think there was any type of undercoat. The frame and rearend were just black.

frame was black.
under bed was usually primer red.

i am going to go body color under my truck. i dont care what it originaly came as.

I will go silver, rust bullet silver.(gray)
Chasiss will be por 15 black with semi gloss black on top.

everything under my truck, or the backside of panels is all going to be por-15 semi gloss.
