new here... from PA
Hey folks.. Just registered today from PA. I'm a member over at fordtruk and in process of restoring a '62 f-100 slick.
I jumped on here as I'm in the process of looking at a 2wd crew. It's for sale, just have not been able to get in touch with the guy.
I need another project as bad as I need a hole in the head but because it is a crew it has me interested. Any tips on what to be looking for when I go to look at it would be appreciated.

Well I went and looked at it. It is a '70, f350, 360, auto. Yes I don't need it but yes I may want it. I'm thinking I would 1. just run it as it is while I'm working on the slick. 2. Install a light weight dump body. or 3. Shorten the frame and install the bed from the '72 swb I have.
I forgot the camera.
The Bad.
- Bed is shot
- Front doors are shot
- Front clip is shot
- Front cab mounts/floor is shot.
The good.
- Runs great
- Automatic
- Power Steering.
- Power disc brakes.
- cab corners and rockers are solid,
- The rear doors are not too bad, easy repair.
- The interior is fair.
- New tires.
- Some new parts.
- Good price. I think I can get it for under $500.00.
- IT'S A CREW
The thing that concerns me the most is the floor, the other items can be delt with. I'll soon post in the "body" section to see what my options are with the front floor/cab mounts.
Thanks for the welcomes!! Just like the Slick 60's another great site here.

Welcome from NY. Where in Eastern Pa?
You could buy the truck for $500 and drive it to a scrapyard and make a few bucks on it. Go for it. If you know what you're doing, the floor isn't that bad. I did one side of mine with a friend last year. Hopefully, the other one this year. There's a guy on this site in Northwestern NY that had a bed for sale. Here's a link;

Don't know if he still has it or not.

welcome from an Okie. if you can do the work yourself your floorpans and cabmounts shouldn't be too expensive about 160 for both pans and mounts thats from obsolete and classic ford in OKC just shipping it might be a pain they say 10% but it could be more

Hey Steve, I live in Equinunk. It is a small town right on the river. I actually work in NY. When we "go to town" we follow the river 10 miles up to Hancock NY.

Welcome from California!
That crew doesn't sound like too bad of a deal - I doubt you'd get hurt too bad at 500... but try to talk 'em down a little!
Good lookin' slick, by the way!
