Rust Hole Fillers
Im soon going to start stripping the paint off my truck. I know there will be some holes from rust. What are some good things to use for small holes like that? I have/can weld them up but Its really hard not to burn through it because the metal is so thin. I was thinking fiberglass or bondo? Thanks.

re: Rust Hole Fillers
depends how big the holes are, if bigger than a penny cut out some new stuff and weld it in a little at a time and let it cool. use a .24 wire on your mig, if its tiny holes you can use nails keith has a thing somewhere on filling trim holes. but if you dont want to do any of these things use fibreglass bondo wont last, it cracks and looks horrible ill show you some pics of what bondo does if you would like.

re: Rust Hole Fillers
depends... fibrerglass can get messy just like bondo too, you have to go into basic science of why things happen. rust happens for a reason, water stting in a confined space and not enough air to evaperate it. if your using fibreglass make sure the problem is fixed first, why was it getting rust there in the first place?? there is no easy fix and that is exactly what body filler is, i do everything by at least a 10 year mark, if i do something i want it to last about 10 years. will fibreglass do that? possibly, but will replacing the partially rotted steel for new stuff? for sure. so if your going to fiberglass it, make sure you fixed the problem in the first place. body filler was meant for little dings and sheetmetal that can never be straight. not for rust. i cant answer your question because i cant see whats wrong, send pictures and ill tell you what i think you should do.
hope i helped
