i beam

Post by josephu »

ok dumb question, tell me how stupid I am, or tell me I didnt just screw up my entire front end rebuild, let me tell you where Im at, got new kings instld at the machine shop, got new radius bushs, axle pivots, tie rods, everything, fought and fought, but now I have everything installed, (but not tightened) I wanted to wait to tighten everything up, now its like my i beams are mildly rotated forward, should this correct itself( the top coil spring nuts are pointed forward inside the coil) when I tighten everything, or did I do what I think I did, and put my I beams on on the wrong side? How do I know if my beams are wrong?

the bump stop should go to the back of the truck on the I beams so the spindle will hit it when you turn to far. that is on a drum brake spindle.

well they do, so I have em on right, should i jack up the radius arms or i beams to get in a more level position, before i tighten? should I tighten my upper coil nut last? Is this gonna work?

I would tighten everything before you put any weight on it. Then do it again when you have weight on it.
